Does this baby monitor require WiFi or a phone app? Can I view it when I’m away from home?

No. HD S2 works without WiFi or an app using a closed-loop connection to the parent unit. Because it’s not a WiFi/app monitor, it’s intended for monitoring within your home on the included screen.

Is this a wireless baby monitor? Does the camera run on battery?

The camera connects wirelessly to the parent unit, but the camera must be plugged into power. The parent unit is rechargeable, so you can carry it around the house. The parent unit also has a low battery indicator.

What comes in the HD S2 1-Camera bundle, and can I expand later?

This product includes 1 camera + 1 parent unit. You can add compatible cameras later (sold separately) up to 4 total, and use multi-camera viewing options (including split-screen) from the same parent unit.

What is the real range inside a house?

Range varies by home layout and materials. Get up to 1000 ft in open areas, but indoor range can be reduced by walls/floors and interference. Place the parent unit away from large metal objects and position the camera with a clearer line of sight.

How long does the parent unit battery last, and what does VOX/ECO mode do?

Battery life varies by use. VOX/ECO saves power by keeping the screen off until sound is detected; continuous viewing uses more. Lower brightness/volume helps. HD S2 uses VOX sound alerts and has no motion detection.
